After a workout
The coach's feedback on each workout, asking for one, and the changes a workout can make to the next days.
With a subscription, the coach reads each new workout and writes its feedback on it, usually within minutes of your watch syncing. It writes in your AI language, under You, then Settings.
Where it is
At the top of the activity, under Coach feedback; Continue in chat → opens a conversation about it. On Today, a workout with feedback says coach note ready, and the notifications on You say it has arrived.
When there is no feedback
- Being written: the activity says your coach is reviewing it.
- It failed repeatedly: press Try again.
- None yet: the coach reviews new workouts as they arrive and passes over a very short, easy one; a workout that reached Milewise days late may have none. Press Review now, or Review it anyway on the short one. Workouts from before you joined get none, apart from your four most recent.
- A walk, yoga, a stretch: one line instead of a review. It counts as active recovery, not as training.
- It came through the Strava connection: none, by Strava's rules. Upload the file yourself and the coach reads it: Uploads and your Strava export.
Reviews on request
Review now asks the coach for feedback on a workout that has none. Review it anyway is the same button on a workout it passed over as too small. Both draw on a daily allowance, counted over the last 24 hours, and every press counts. When it is used up, the activity says so; the chat stays open as usual.
When a workout changes the next days
When a workout went clearly differently from the plan (much longer or shorter, a different session than the one planned, training on a rest day, a big unplanned workout, or one intervals.icu scores well off its targets), the coach adjusts the days after it on its own, without asking:
- At most three sessions, within the next seven days.
- Only easier, shorter or a rest day. Nothing becomes harder or longer, nothing is added or moved to another day, and races, tests and rest days stay as they are.
- The calendar and the watch follow, as for any plan change: Your plan on your watch.
Unlike the morning check, which only suggests, this needs no tap. The change is in your plan at once, and the coach's feedback on that workout is meant to name it in a line. To undo it, tell the coach in the chat.
Without a subscription
Your workouts are stored, shown with their maps and numbers, and counted in your fitness and fatigue, but no feedback is written, and a week you built stays as built. Where the feedback would be, the activity shows an Example of it. Plans, prices and the free trial.
