Delete your account
1. In the app
Open the You tab, then Settings, then Privacy, then Delete my account. We send a confirmation link to the email address on the account; it is valid for 24 hours. Opening it deletes the account and its data at once. An account with no email address we can confirm is deleted immediately.
2. By email, without the app
Write to contact@milewise.de from the email address on the account, with the subject Delete my account. You get the same confirmation link. It deletes the account in the browser you are signed in to. If you cannot sign in any more, write that in the same email: we then delete the account by hand, at the latest within one month of your request (Art. 12(3) GDPR).
3. What is deleted
- The account itself, its sign-in identities (Google, Apple, Strava) and every paired phone.
- All training and health data: activities and uploaded files, GPS tracks, sleep, heart-rate and wellness records, the profile and its zones.
- Everything the coach made or was told: the plan, the goals, the morning checks, the workout feedback, the chats and the coach's notes.
- Connector credentials and the data that came through them. The grant at the source is revoked where the source offers it (Google, Strava, Polar, Suunto); workouts we placed on your intervals.icu calendar and guides we placed in your Suunto account are removed. intervals.icu offers no revocation, so remove Milewise’s access in your intervals.icu settings. If you signed in with Apple, we also withdraw that authorisation at Apple, as far as we hold Apple's token for it; where we hold none, you remove Milewise yourself under Settings → Apple ID → “Sign in with Apple”.
- Push tokens, calendar commitments read from your phone or your Google Calendar, and the support copy of the account, where we had switched one on (Privacy Policy, section 7).
4. What is kept, and for how long
- Invoices for eight years from the end of the calendar year in which they were issued (Sec. 14b(1) UStG, Sec. 147(3) AO), at the merchant of record and with us. The records of orders, cancellations and withdrawals are kept until the end of the third year after the year the contract ended (Secs. 195, 199 BGB).
- Log rows, for 30 days. The security log keeps your IP address with no account reference; the operator's own alert log can carry your internal account number in its deduplication key.
- Salted hashes of the identities on the account, your connected sources and your sign-in, so we grant a free trial once per person.
- A redeemed promotion code row and an archived waiting-list entry with your email address, where you have either; the periods are in the Privacy Policy, section 9.
- The record the entitlement service for App Store and Google Play purchases holds under your account number. On your request we have it deleted there by hand.
- Encrypted backups: a deleted account can persist in a backup for up to roughly seven months. They are restored only to recover the service after a failure, never to bring an account back.
- Copies your connected accounts keep themselves: delete those there.
5. Subscriptions
A subscription bought on the website (Stripe) is cancelled by the deletion itself. A subscription bought in the App Store or on Google Play is not: cancel it in your Apple or Google subscription settings first, or it renews although the account is gone. Deleting the account does not replace withdrawal or cancellation; those are described in the Right of withdrawal and the Terms of Use.
6. Deleting only part of your data
Disconnecting a source asks whether to delete what came from it; Strava’s data is always deleted. Individual activities, notes and chats can be deleted in the app as well. Your other rights are set out in the Privacy Policy.
