Apple Health and Health Connect

Sleep, HRV and resting heart rate from the phone, and the workouts only your watch app knows.

Many watches write to the phone's health store and nowhere else. Milewise reads from there, on the phone, with your permission for each kind of data.

PhoneReads
iPhoneApple Health: sleep, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, breathing rate, and workouts other apps wrote there, with their heart rate, distance and energy.
AndroidHealth Connect: the same eight kinds, read only. Milewise writes nothing into Health Connect.

Turning it on

  1. 01

In the app, open You, then Settings, and switch on Apple Health or Health Connect.

  2. 02

The phone asks which kinds of data Milewise may read. Say yes to what you want the coach to see; everything works with less, the morning check just says less.

  3. 03

Health data is sensitive by law, so Milewise asks for your consent to store it, once, before the first night is saved. You can withdraw it under You, Privacy.

Turning it off

Switch it off in the app, or take the permission away in the phone's own Health settings. Either way Milewise deletes what came from there.
